more kid-friendly info: These dogs love kids if they are bred and raised properly. They love the games of fetch, swim, and Frisbee.  They do well in obedience, agility, field, tracking, camping, jogging, and some love the life on the couch.  They need exposure and positive experiences to like kids.
limiting disorders:
non-limiting disorders: hips, eyes can be health issues.  Chronic ear problems can be sign of allergies.  Seizures are not common, but exist in springers.
breed quirks: They need to brushed and groomed routinely.  They shed their undercoat twice a year and it will cause horrible mats if not groomed out.  Yes, they shed all over the house.  They love to be with the family.  If you want a private life away for a dog then a springer is not for you.  They follow you from room to room.  They need daily exercise or they get hyper.   They like a job to do --either couch potato or other dog activities. They also need someone willing to say no sometimes to a springers begging eyes. Younger springers do better after obedience and agility class with their forever home members. They are clowns, noble, bright, pushy, loyal, active dogs.
